You Have Been Challenged!

2 John 4 --- I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.

After getting a bit of a late start today, we journeyed back onto the road of 2 John. We stayed in verse 4 but explored some other areas of it. Yesterday was greatly rejoicing and focus, today He led into a few other areas of this same verse.

The first thing is, "walking in truth".

The second is, "commanded".

I write my daily recap of my personal quiet time with the Lord, focused towards my Christian brothers and sisters in the body/church. My heart is absolutely and always for those who do not know Jesus, but I have a passion for wanting to stir up my brothers and sisters. This brought me back to 2 Peter 3:1, which I studied way back in Feb of this year.

2 Peter 3:1 --- This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,

In the Greek that word "Stirring Up" is one word, diegeirō, which means to wake up, awaken, arouse (from sleep)...of the sea, which begins to be agitated, to rise...to arouse the mind, stir up, render active.

Do you profess to be or are you a Christian?

If you said yes, are you walking in truth as you've been commanded?

I challenge you to do something that will require 20-30 minutes of your time and focus. Sit down, pray, and ask God to search you and show you anything that may be out of step with Him and His Word, especially possible hidden or unseen things. Then open your bible to the book of 1 John. Yes, back to First John. LOL. Ask God to give you wisdom and to show you clearly where you are with Him, then read First John. It is an average reading time of 16 minutes for the whole book.

I know life is beyond busy, but I pray over the next week you find time to answer this challenge. My prayer is simply that you would give God the chance to embolden your faith and confirm that you KNOW that you KNOW Jesus, or that He open your eyes to see where maybe some things are out of alignment. I know there was plenty He showed me the needed to be addressed there.

You have been challenged! The image is Chong Li calling out the hero of an 80's action movie. It was a call Frank Dux had to answer! I pray you will answer today's challenge.

Have a wonderful weekend and my prayers are for each of you this day!
