Whom God Helps.

John 11:1 -- Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

Thank You Lord for my brothers I was able to meet with today. Thank You God for all you are doing in their lives. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Today was a wonderful day spent meeting with my brothers in Christ. I got to see my oldest son who stopped by for a while this morning. Then I finished the evening off playing boardgames with my brother Aaron and Chris. Such a blessing to spend the day with family. My wife Mandy is doing better, and I can't thank you enough for your prayers. Her right eye is still not recovered fully but God's walking her through it.

After talking with the Lord, we dove into John chapter eleven and didn't go beyond verse one. As soon as we came to the name "Lazarus" everything just stopped.

Lazarus is the Greek form of his actual Hebrew name which would've been Eleazar.

Eleazar in Hebrew means: Whom God helps, or God has helped.

Christian, I don't know about you, but I'd say this is quite a fitting name for each of us. Without Him what help would we have?

John 15:4-6 -- Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

Matthew 14:30 -- But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.”

These were just a few verses that jumped to mind.

Think about this for just a moment. I don't know how many times in a day your name is said or written or read, but could you imagine hearing over and over and over again, "Whom God Helps, could you come here please?" or "Whom God Helps it was nice of you to join us.". I know it may sound silly but think about what it means or meant to hear your parent(s) call your name. We're His children and He HAS helped us, saved us from eternal separation from Him in hell!

Beloved, I pray this late Saturday night you would see yourself from now on as the child Whom God Helps. He is always there for us, He never changes, He never forsakes us, and no one will, and no one is able to remove us from His mighty hands.

Have a good night my brothers and sisters whom God helps.

You are loved. You are prayed over. You are not alone.
