What Path Are You Walking?
I spent quite a while with the Lord in First John this year so bible gateway’s daily verse is quite familiar. It’s also very straightforward in what it’s saying. You cannot simply say you are a Christian. You must walk the walk to back up the talk. This doesn’t mean more works and good deeds. Nope. It means walking in relationship with Him. The works and good deeds come as an overflow of knowing Him.
Which path are you walking today?
If you say you’re a Christian do your actions in public and private align with Jesus, the Word, light as He is in the light?
We’re not perfect and never will be here but First John is clear sin for the true believer and follower of Christ Jesus is not habitual and ongoing. It can’t be if we’re in Him and He is in us. We will trip, stumble, and fall sometimes but He is always there as our advocate!
