John 10:7-- So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep
Thank You, Lord for walking me through a very tough morning. Thank you, God for being with me every step of the way in this day. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
I had a migraine from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM this wonderful Tuesday morning. This caused the start of my day to be quite chaotic. It also made me feel like a zombie all day as well. Hooray! God is good and walked me through it. As I prepared to go to bed at 9:15 PM I knew I wanted to get in at least a short quiet time with the Lord first.
I had justified in my mind it would be okay to miss one day and honestly it would've been. My walk with Him is not legalistic and doesn't falter if I miss one day. However, I really desired to spend some intentional time with Him before the day ended.
After talking with the Lord in prayer, I moved into the Word and was stopped right here on the word, "again".
Jesus has been dealing with the religious authorities non-stop. Their constant self-centered deceitfulness. The games they play with the scriptures to try and trap Him. The willful ignorance when faced with things they know. Their use of questions to deflect truth. To me I'd have wanted to throw up my hands and walk away in frustration. Yet here is Jesus patiently telling them again.
My day was hard today, and it would've been easy to give up and call it a loss. I'm glad however He tugged at my heart to spend time with Him. To just see His patience and persistence here and keep it in mind as I aspire to walk as He walked more and more every day.
Well, it wasn't much but it was a wonderful way to end my very long day. Sometimes the journey isn't easy, but it's always worth it.
You are loved. You are prayed over. You are not alone.
