1 John 1:5 (NLT Version) --- This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
I'm not feeling too well today. I ended up sleeping in because of it, but I have something amazing to share about how loving and awesome God is!
Last night Amanda and I had a board game night. We laughed, we talked, we had so much fun just being together with no distractions. Such a blessing from God above!
As it approached midnight I realized how late it was. Late because I get up at 4am every day. I began to think about how I can't operate on 4 hrs sleep and it hit me, I spent an hour reading/studying 1 John 1:5 Sat morning when I was supposed to in verse 4. I told Amanda this and she smiled and throws out Isaiah 55:10-11. God's word does not return void. It always accomplishes it's purpose.
So as I went to the Lord in prayer this morning sick, tired and just bleh... We sat together, quietly. He loves me so much, He knew last night would be late, He knew I'd be feeling off today and He had already told me all He needed to say for today. So we just sat together. Peacefully in His presence.
Long story but on me to share just how much He cares about the tiniest of details in our lives.
Now the most important part, 1 John 1:5 --- This is the message we heard from Him(Jesus) and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
It's simple and it's clear. He is light. There is no darkness in Him. None whatsoever. As my close brother said the other day, God doesn't have any daggers behind His back. He's not hiding anything. He won't, He can't because He is light and darkness, not even a hint of dark can be in light.
Do you trust Him? Do you believe this verse?
If you think for a second He has it out for you or doesn't care or hear or see you...then get before Him today and ask Him point blank, tell Him how you feel, get in His word and listen for His voice. See Him, hear Him, learn who He is. You won't be disappointed. His word will not return void.
