John 1:34 --- And I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.
Let Words & Actions Speak for Jesus!
The religious leaders of Israel confronted John the Baptist, and he consistently made his answer clear. It didn't matter to him who it was asking, the answer always pointed to the same place, JESUS.
Q: Who are you?
A: I'm just a man but let me tell you about Jesus!
Q: If you're just a man then why are doing all these godly things for others?
A: I only do these things because of Jesus. Let me tell you about Him!
Q: How do you know this Jesus?
A: I have seen for myself. I'll even testify to who He is. Now let me tell you all about Jesus!
I think you get the point. The more questions John the Baptist was asked the more he directs it all to Jesus.
I know many people post Christian memes and sayings on social media and that's wonderful, but do your posts, your words, and your actions, in public and private….at church, at home, and at work… line up? Do they point to Jesus? Do thine up with the Word?
Just something to think about as you're posting on social media today.
Also below are a few verses that jumped to mind as well. You can post Christian memes all day, but if the words and actions you use behind social media contradict the Word, others will know your real truth and those posts can then become poison and push those very people away.
James 3:9-12 --- With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God. 10 Out of the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. These things, my brothers, should not be this way [for we have a moral obligation to speak in a manner that reflects our fear of God and profound respect for His precepts]. 11 Does a spring send out from the same opening both fresh and bitter water? 12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh.
Speak up for Jesus today! Let your words and your actions direct others to Him!
