John 10:11 -- I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Thank You, Lord for this new day. Thank You, Lord for my family. Thank You, God in everything and for everything this day. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
We didn't go too far on the journey today because the very next verse was one really worth taking in. There was no deep dive into the Greek text, just a deep awe and reverence over this simple, yet so powerful verse.
He comes for us, knows us, speaks to us, calls us by name, leads us, watches over us, protects us, feeds us, and He laid down His life for us. It's hard to wrap your brain around, but that's who He is, the Good Shepherd.
Christian, take a minute to really let all this sink in. Get in the Word and read John chapters nine and ten. Just watch Jesus and listen to Him. Then ask yourself, what is holding you back from following the Good Shepherd in each day? What's holding you back from talking with Him, praying? What's holding you back from opening your bible and reading/hearing His Living Word?
The journey today is complete. Just a simple, peaceful time, in His presence, in awe of who He is, and the fact that He loves and leads His sheep the way He does.
Don't take my word for it, be the Berean and get into the bible yourself. Let God speak to you directly in His Living Word!
You are loved. You are prayed over. You are not alone.
