John 11:1 -- Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
Thank You Lord for taking care of my wife and her eyes. Thank You God for being our rock in it and through it. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
After rough start to the day and lots of prayer, we have come to John Chapter Eleven on our journey to follow Jesus.
Jesus left Jerusalem and has been out in the area where John the Baptist had preached and baptized. Jesus has done so many miracles from making water into wine, to making the lame walk, the blind to see, and feeding thousands with a few fish and bread rolls; but in this chapter we see something beyond those things.
Most of my quiet time was spent in prayer and just reading this new chapter in a few different translations. There is so much packed into this one chapter, it's amazing. I can't wait to dig deeper into the line-by-line journey to listen and watch Jesus.
Christian, if you have no excitement to open the Word of God each day, or are struggling to even pick up your Bible, then stop and talk to God about it right now. Reach out to a close Christian brother or sister that you can talk to and pray together about it. Then even if you still don't feel it, do it anyway!
You won't trust someone you don't know, so if you refuse to spend time or never have time to spend with God, you won't know Him, and that will make it quite tough to trust Him in anything, let alone the darkest of storms of life.
I would greatly appreciate prayers for my wife and her eyes. She's going through some tough things and ophthalmologists and retina specialists are baffled by it, but I know our God is not. So please lift Mandy up in prayer!
You are loved. You are prayed over. You are not alone.
