Psalm 1:1-3 -- Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
It has been near impossible to focus and get into my quiet time today. I haven't felt well this week so nyquil put me to bed last night, but also made it hard to get up this morning. I found myself simply reading Psalm 1 over and over.
There is so much packed into these first three verses. So much wisdom and direction. I tried my best not to chase squirrels this morning, but they just seem to be everywhere. LOL. I'm going to close out with a simple prayer.
Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank you for your love and mercy. I thank you for your grace. I thank you for your justice and holiness. I thank you that I am your child. I just thank you Lord that even when I have a bad day, don't feel well, I can just fall on my face before you. Even when squirrels get in the way, you are the same and are right there. In Jesus name. Amen
That's it for today.
You are loved. You are prayed over. You are not alone.
