Always Journey with Jesus!

3 John 15 --- Peace be to you. The friends [here] greet you. Greet the friends [personally] by name.

We arrived at the final verse of 3 John this morning. It's a bittersweet moment coming to the end of our journey in these three small letters from John. The past three months have been an amazing blessing to follow the Lord each day on this adventure. I've read First, Second and Third John many times before, heard it preached on, but this was the first time in a deep relational way. It has changed me and strengthened my relationship with Him so much! Each day has just been asking Him to walk and lead through it, seeking to find Him in every word, and knocking on the door of every verse to find Him behind it. As I typed this Jeremiah 29:13 came to me:

Jeremiah 29:13 --- You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

I can honestly testify this is true. That's nothing on me though, it's all Jesus. I will say God is not some far distant, uncaring, hard to please, puppet master, those are just lies and deceptions to excuse us from asking, seeking, knocking, and having to pour our entire hearts into Him. He is right here and has always been waiting for you to go for a walk with Him.

At first this morning felt like the end of a road but as I prayed over what we'd be drawing today, which I was thinking end credits, riding into the sunset, end of a path, the Lord had something different. He gave me the image of Link beginning his adventure in the Legend of Zelda NES game. It was where he gets his first sword to head out on his journey. It was this beautiful image that showed me the adventure and journey with Him NEVER ends, as long as I choose to take Him with me. All we went through in 1,2,3 John goes with me, as I follow Him into the next adventure.

This of course has been my personal experience through this, and I beg you don't take my word on any of it, get into your Bible and read it, verify it, let Him show you. Talk to Him and ask Him to take you on an adventure today!

There isn't much more to say as I find the final verse of this book to be a fitting closing for this morning's quiet time.

Peace be to you, my friends.
